• GIANTS host Brisbane at home with a chance to go a game clear inside the top 4.
• Canberra Demons are back at home this week taking on Sydney Uni at Phillip Oval on Saturday from 12PM.
• Mitch Hardie will play his 50th NEAFL game and Andrew Swan returns to the team after a second knee reconstruction.
• GIANTS Academy player Tom Green was named MVP of the Allies side, placed 5th in the Larke Medal for the Best and Fairest of the Carnival and was named in the All Australian side, an amazing achievement for this
Canberra talent.
• Queanbeyan’s Tarni Evans and Jayde Hamilton along with Belconnen’s Emily Pease have been selected in the Eastern Allies Squad for the NAB AFLW U18 Championships.
• This week is Heritage Round in the AFL Canberra Senior competition with Tuggeranong and Queanbeyan playing in specially designed ‘old style’ jumpers.
• Tuggeranong Hawks’ captain, Ben Symons, will play his 100th First grade game this weekend (6 July) at Greenway Oval.
• Molonglo Juggernauts will host AFL Canberra’s Inaugural Pride Round when they host ANU Football Club at Stirling Oval. Minister Steel will present on the importance of pride and diversity ahead of the Third Grade
Men’s.
• Canberra will host the AFL NSW/ACT Girls Schools of Excellence Invitational Final at UNSW Canberra Oval on Tuesday 9th of July. GIANTS AFLW Star Alyce Parker will be there to assist with coaching and presentations.
